Clarity is playing a key role in an exciting project to develop an international standard for writing documents in plain language. The project is being run by the International Plain Language Federation formed by:

  • Clarity;
  • Plain Language Association International (PLAIN); and
  • the US-based Center for Plain Language.

The Federation published an options paper Strengthening plain language: public benefit and professional practice which was published in the Clarity Journal. The paper explored various topic including setting international standards.

Click here for more information and how you can be involved.

The standards project will be:

  • the main topic of the next issue of our journal Clarity; and
  • the topic of a plenary session at Clarity’s conference in Montreal, 25 to 27 October.

We hope you will join the conversation.
